Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: August 17, 2026.
ChooseMyPower earns money through affiliate and referral partnerships. This page explains exactly how, in plain language.
We earn a commission, not a fee from you
When you click a link on this site to a partner — an electricity provider through ComparePower, a solar equipment retailer like A1 SolarStore, a financing partner like GoodLeap, or a local installer through our quote-request tool — and you sign up, buy, or request a quote, that partner pays us a referral fee. You never pay ChooseMyPower anything, and the price you pay the partner is the same whether you came from our site or found them any other way.
This does not change what we recommend
Our calculators and comparisons are built to give you an honest answer, even when the honest answer costs us a commission. If a plan is a bad deal, we say so, whether or not it pays us. If solar doesn’t make sense for your home, our Solar Savings tool will tell you that too.
Where these links show up
You’ll find affiliate and partner links in articles, in our calculators (bill estimator, plan comparison, home energy checkup, solar savings, and similar tools), and on our quote-request pages. Some links go straight to a partner’s site; others route through a tracking link so the partner can credit us for the referral — addresses containing servcrmpro.com, a1solarstore.com, or ref.comparepower.com, for example. The destination is always the partner’s own product or service, never an unrelated page.
Quote requests
If you submit our solar quote-request form, we share your request with up to three local solar installers so they can contact you directly with a quote. Each installer that receives your request pays us for the introduction. We don’t sell your information to data brokers or anyone unrelated to fulfilling that request.
No cost to you, ever
None of this changes the price you pay a partner. Commissions come out of the partner’s marketing budget, not your pocket.
